Presso il Tempio Buddista Theravada di Napoli, il giorno 25 gennaio 2025, abbiamo avuto un incontro fraterno fra le comunità taoista e buddista. Due grandi famiglie religiose animate dalla stessa aspirazione per la trascendenza e l’amore e la compassione per l’umanità.
I miei ringraziamenti vanno innanzitutto al Dott. Antonio Nemolato, coordinatore del gruppo di meditazione presso il Napoli Buddhist Vihara, che ha saputo sapientemente organizzare l’evento e ha fatto in modo che le due comunità si sentissero nella stessa casa.
L’abate Bhante Panangala Vajiragnana Thero, un monaco di grande spiritualità e umanità, mi ha accolto con amicizia fraterna e, tra l’altro, mi ha concesso l’onore di mostrarmi le preziose reliquie del Buddha conservate nel tempio. A lui va la mia gratitudine.
Sono certo che questo evento ha segnato l’inizio di una fruttifera collaborazione non solo di studi comparati ma soprattutto interreligiosa fra la comunità monastica Theravada di Napoli e la Chiesa Taoista d’Italia.

Buddhists and Taoists in dialogue.
At the Theravada Buddhist Temple of Naples, on January 25, 2025, we had a fraternal meeting between the Taoist and Buddhist communities. Two great religious families animated by the same aspiration for transcendence and love and compassion for humanity.
My thanks go first of all to Dr. Antonio Nemolato, coordinator of the meditation group at the Naples Buddhist Vihara, who was able to skillfully organize the event and made sure that the two communities felt in the same home.
Abbot Bhante Panangala Vajiragnana Thero, a monk of great spirituality and humanity, welcomed me with fraternal friendship and, among other things, granted me the honour of showing me the precious relics of the Buddha preserved in the temple. My gratitude goes to him.
I am certain that this event marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration not only in comparative studies but above all in interreligious studies between the Theravada monastic community of Naples and the Taoist Church of Italy.

Un grande evento. I rappresentanti taoisti di due continenti si sono riuniti a Singapore per celebrare la 15° edizione del World Wide Taoist Day, di cui la Chiesa Taoista d'Italia è stata uno dei fondatori, ospitando ben tre edizioni annuali nella nostra nazione.
Animati dal Rev. M° Lee Zhiwang centinaia di taoisti si sono ritrovati come una grande famiglia.
Inoltre è stata un'occasione di incontro e confronto sui grandi temi del taoismo moderno.
Un momento di crescita per tutti.
Si sono anche festeggiati i 30 anni della Taoist Mission Singapore e i 10 anni di riapertura del Tempio Yu Huang Gong, dopo la sua restaurazione.
Ringraziamo tutto lo staff della Taoist Mission Singapore per la loro eccellente organizzazione e affettuosa accoglienza.
Se tutti i religiosi e fedeli taoisti del mondo potessero avere lo stesso cuore come è avvenuto a Singapore, sono certo che il Taoismo sarebbe un faro che illumina il mondo.

A great event. Taoist representatives from two continents gathered in Singapore to celebrate the 15th World Wide Taoist Day, of which the Taoist Church of Italy was one of the founders, hosting three annual editions in our country.
Led by Rev. M° Lee Zhiwang, hundreds of Taoists came together as one big family.
It was also an opportunity to meet and discuss the great themes of modern Taoism.
A moment of growth for all.
The 30th anniversary of the Taoist Mission Singapore and the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Yu Huang Gong Temple after its restoration were also celebrated.
We thank all the staff of Taoist Mission Singapore for their excellent organisation and warm welcome.
If all Taoist clergy and believers around the world could have the same heart as they did in Singapore, I am sure Taoism would be a beacon that lights up the world.

Alla presenza di alti funzionari del Governo, moderati dal Prof. Antonio Fuccillo, professore ordinario di Diritto Ecclesiastico e Interculturale presso l'Università degli Studi della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", si è svolto presso gli uffici della Camea dei Deputati il seminario:
"Senza intese: le nuove religioni alla prova dell'art. 8 della Costituzione".
La Chiesa Taoista d'Italia ha portato il suo contributo e le sue proposte per i i buoni rapporti fra Stato e Religioni.

In the presence of senior government officials, moderated by Prof. Antonio Fuccillo, full professor of Ecclesiastical and Intercultural Law at the University of Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’, a seminar was held at the offices of the Chamber of Deputies:
‘Without agreements: new religions put to the test of Article 8 of the Constitution’.
The Taoist Church of Italy contributed its proposals for good relations between the State and religions.

La comunità cinese ha inviato varie delegazioni per chiedere la mia collaborazione e guida sia per costruire un Tempio e sia per trovare una forma organizzativa legale secondo la legislazione italiana.
Oggi abbiamo posto la prima pietra di questo progetto a lungo termine, con la fondazione dell' ASSOCIAZIONE TAOISTA EUROPEA.
Il suo copo è raccogliere tutti i fedelei e i credenti taoisti in Europa.
Alla presenza del Notaio Dott. Galdo Gennaro, i soci fondatori hanno firmato l'Atto Costitutivo e hanno eletto:

Prato is a city near Florence. It is home to the largest Chinese community in Europe.
The Chinese community has sent several delegations to ask for my collaboration and guidance both in building a temple and in finding a legal organisational form in accordance with Italian law.
Today we laid the foundation stone for this long-term project with the establishment of the EUROPEAN TAOIST ASSOCIATION.
Its purpose is to bring together all Taoist followers and believers in Europe.
In the presence of Notary Dr Galdo Gennaro, the founding members signed the Constitutive Act of Association and elected:
Vincenzo di Ieso as President and legal representative;
Wang Yonping as Vice President;
Zhou Enmin as Councillor;
Zhou Guoqing as Secretary;
Pan Songpu as Treasurer.
